A Few of My Drugstore Favorites

I love experimenting and trying new products, what I don’t love is spending money on a bunch of stuff I didn't like and will never use again. So I have come up with a small, yet selective, group of drugstore items that I love. I use them in my daily routine and they do not fail me! If you've been thinking about trying some new products here are some great options:

CoverGirl Classic Color Blush has long lasting power and a tiny bit of shimmer to hide any imperfections and it photographs well too. This isn't one of those blushes that you need to layer to get saturated color either, it's a one and done deal.

Cover Girl Ink It Pencil Liner in cocoa is my go to everyday liner. This liner has been met with some criticism (like that the twist mechanism breaks); however, the actual product is really great. It goes on as smooth as liquid liner but still has the capabilities to blend. Once it’s on it doesn't smudge and lasts through the day, even when my eyelids get oily!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner in black is one of my favs. It goes on dark the first time around (no double lining necessary!) and the applicator makes it super easy to get the perfect cat eye. It dries fast and lasts all day.

Neutrogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover is the best drug store eye makeup remover I have tried. I prefer using it on a round cotton pad as opposed to a cotton ball; it’s gentler on my eyes. Once I apply the remover to the pad I hold it on my eye for a few seconds and then wipe down. The only other thing I recommend with this process is washing your face right after, since it does leave some residue on your eyes. I usually do this right before bed so washing my face is the next step for me anyways. If you just want to remove or clean up make up during the day, simply use a cotton swab.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara definitely lengthens your lashes. It’s easy to layer and doesn't clump. I usually apply a light coat, let it dry, curl my lashes, and then reapply a second coat. The curl lasts way longer that way. The second coat adds volume, but again this is definitely more of a lengthening mascara.

What drug store products do you swear by?
